Matthew is a poster artist, storyboard illustrator, graphic designer, and comic book artist who currently resides in Toronto. He has worked in-office as a Creative Director and designer for a variety of advertising and marketing agencies, but now works full-time as a freelance artist focusing on work in the film and music industries.
He is perhaps best known for creating the horror comic anthology “The Gates of Misery”, in which he collaborated with filmmakers Brandon Cronenberg, Steven Kostanski, and Jon Knautz. He has created artwork for a wide-range of clients, and his work has been seen across Canada, the United States, as well as the United Kingdom and Japan.
Previous clients include: Bunny Ears (the official lifestyle blog of Macaulay Culkin), Synapse Films, Severin Films, The Revue Cinema, Blue Ice Pictures, Neoganda, The Hero Complex Gallery, Nerd Block, Garth Manor Cinema (for an Alamo Drafthouse screening), The Faculty of Horror, Laser Party Art Prints, Diabolique Magazine, Don Ferguson Productions, Mike Pecci, Tal Zimerman, and Steven Kostanski (directors), Atomic Cotton Clothing and Apparel and many more.
He was also the lead illustrator on “Manborg: The Official Motion Picture Comic”, and the creator of a series of artwork titled “Final Girls & Cinema Survivors” which pays homage to some of the most iconic heroes of the genre. His artwork has been featured in Rue Morgue Magazine, Gore Noir, and Delirium; as well as on the cover of Diabolique.
